Things are changing fast with the rules governing crossing into Canada, whose border opens to U.S. citizens August 9.
Of particular interest to boaters on Lake St. Clair, the St. Lawrence River, Lake of the Woods, and other waters, is the quote from the fourth bullet point in the following article: “If a boat does not land in Canada, doesn’t make contact with another boat, doesn’t moor or anchor while in Canadian waters, other than anchoring in accordance with the right of innocent passage under international law, the travellers will not be required to submit a pre-arrival test or their mandatory information via ArriveCAN.”
