Jordan Weeks

Jordan Weeks is the senior fisheries biologist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in LaCrosse. He is the West Central Region DNR Representative of the DNR’s Musky Standing Team and a member of the American Fisheries Society, North Central District, Esocid Technical Committee.

Jordan attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 1994 to 1999 and received a bachelor of science degree, double majoring in fisheries and biology. Jordan worked as a fisheries technician for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at the Escanaba Lake Fisheries Research Area from 1999 to 2001 and for the Wisconsin DNR as a fisheries technician in Woodruff, Eau Claire and Spooner from 2001 to 2003.

Jordan was awarded a masters of science in fisheries on a walleye and muskellunge movement project in 2005. In May of 2005 he was hired as inland fisheries biologist by the Wisconsin DNR with management responsibility in La Crosse, Vernon, Monroe and Crawford Counties.

In addition he has published in the North American Journal of Fisheries Management (Walleye and Muskellunge movement in the Manitowish Chain of Lakes, Vilas, County, Wisconsin, Vol. 29, Issue 3, pp. 791-804) and has presented his research findings at the Dr. Ed Crossman Muskie Symposium and the International Meeting of the American Fisheries Society held in Anchorage, Alaska, in 2005.

Jordan has been fishing muskies for 20 years, and has pursued them in six states and one province.
