Kinkaid Lake, IL fishing report from guide Scott Donovan
The ice has receded and the bite is back on here at Lake Kinkaid. After 13 days below freezing temps, we are finally back to open water and active muskies. Water temps 36-39 and clarity is stained around most of the lake. Llungen Rattlin Shads (https://www.llungenlures.com/products/4-tony-grant-rattlin-shad-copy/) in red or orange have been the ticket. Slow moving glide baits are also in play. Don’t let the ice fool as they have stayed shallow despite the cold snap.
