Kentucky State Record was on Cave Run Lake – 2008

The state record for Kentucky was caught in 2008 on Cave Run Lake.  The fish measured 54 inches long, 26.5 inches in girth and weighed in at a whopping 47lbs.  This catch was by Sarah Terry who at the time was 14 years old and a freshman in high school.  She was fishing with artificial bait, a Double Cowgirl inline spinner with twin blades.  The fish followed to the boat and she spun out figure eights until it hit on the third pass.  Read the full article HERE!  This article comes to us from ESPN!
