I am very excited to announce that I am the proud new Owner/Operator of the HOOKER TACKLE COMPANY – manufacturer of the Famous Hooker Bait!
HTC was founded in 1995 in the state of Ohio, and designed for musky fishermen. Since then, the lures have been used throughout the world for everything from Nile Perch in Africa, to striper bass on the east coast, to salt water species such as mackerel, cobia and even shark.
HTC will continue to produce its original four trolling lures: the 10” long HOOKER BAIT, its smaller counterpart, the 8” HOOKER JR., the 6.5” SEDUCER SHAD, which is also designed to cast, and the 4.5” G&M SHAD (G & M stands for the first initials of the two original founders, Geoff and Maurice).
Like all HOOKER TACKLE productions, the high density resin lures have an internal, through-wire system connecting to the U-shaped hook hangers, to avoid and eliminate any chances of hook pullout.  I look forward to upholding the quality
reputation that this legendary bait has earned over almost three decades, and to continue building and growing the brand on its extremely sound foundation. More to come soon!
Thank you,
Ben
