Guidelines with Bryan Schaeffer: Northern Wisconsin
Definitely not your typical September bite, warmer than normal temperatures have these fish scattered throughout the system. We’re finding water temps between 61 and 65. Morning is by far have been the best bite. Short windows….
Watch you moon phases and any weather change (wind, clouds).
Our top producing bait is a midsize bucktail a Musky Mayhem moon series DS 4s. With these warmer days and the new moon approaching the night might pick up also. Definitely ground & pound and time on the water boats the fish.
Bucktail Tip – remember to change up speed of retrieval and direction changes during your retrieve.
