Minnesota Fishing Report

This past week I was fully booked on Bass and Pike trips. It was a blast and even while fishing for
smaller fish we had a bunch of muskie activity. It is the first time I have seen a Muskie crazy deep in the
slop where we were frogging in the lily pads and matted out weeds. A mid forty inch Muskie blew up
one of our frogs launching the bait five feet into the air and sitting on top of the mat of weeds for a
second before slowly shaking itself and getting back down into the water.

They were most active in the evening up on the weed lines we were casting for bass and pike
with small spinner baits. It was a fun week of bringing out folks brand new to fishing and a couple that
haven’t fished in 20 years. Benny my buddy and client pictured got his personal best pike on a spinner
that also had a high 30’s low 40’’ muskie follow. Excited to get back after the muskies this week and get
up on some pre-fishing for the PMTT in Bemidji and Cass lake. Good luck and Tight lines everyone!
