Guide Lines with Bryan Schaeffer: Northwestern Wisconsin

Coming into the second week of northern Wi musky season big changes in weather, are leaving the fish scattered throughout the lakes and flowages. This warm-weather trend is pushing these fish into summer patterns with water temps jumping into the upper 69s low 70s. Weed edges are holding the majority of the fish on your smaller lakes. larger deeper clear lakes fish are still in shallow weeds and with some great action. Rivers and flowages finally have some current but are still a bit low. Look at fishing fallen timber and your newer weed growth. With this summer weather, pattern and new moon approaching should produce some nice catches along with some bigger fish showing up. Good luck
