Guide Lines from Bryan Schaeffer: Northern Wisconsin
Pretty much was your typical northern Wi opener, smaller lakes producing good numbers of smaller male musky, rivers were on the slow side from having a drier spring, low currents. Water temps ranging from the mid-50s/low 60s. Weed growth was excellent.Lure selection changed from lake to lake and day to day. But smaller bucktails and glide baits brought the most action. Finding most females still in recovery. Warmer stable conditions and new moon phase we should start seeing and catching some bigger females.
