Fall Brawl Tournament Wrap-up from the Shawnee Muskie Hunters
On October 16 & 17 the Shawnee Muskie Hunters held their annual Fall Brawl Tournament on beautiful Kinkaid Lake near Murphysboro, IL. Twelve teams participated this year and boated a total of 12 fish during the two day event. The winning team tripled and three other teams scored doubles.
Weather for the tournament was very nice with clear blue skies and a little breeze. Teams were faced with morning water temperatures in the upper sixties that increased into the lower seventies by the afternoons, substantially warmer than normal. Anglers adapted to the conditions and put quality fish in the boat. Most of the fish seemed to come on spinners and shallow cranks but a variety of other lures also caught fish.
The Shawnee Muskie Hunters would like to thank all of the participants that attended this year and also invite everyone else to join us next year.
