No musky lure creates so much controversy, divides musky anglers into two camps, yet it has a reputation for straight up producing fish. All hype? Brilliant marketing? Artificially creating supply and demand issues? Those could all be true.

Why do anglers search high and low to own one? Are they just wall hanger collector lures? Not for us. At 54 or Bust we don’t own any lures that do not get used.

At the very basic the Barfighter is ‘just’ another dive and rise style of musky lure. But Scott found something that a lot of them missed. It’s easy in 2021 to replicate his famous action, and we show a few that come close. However when this lure was introduced it truly was unique.
